This virtual hangout it open to all survivors and thrivers. Each meeting is co-led by a dedicated peer lead and a professional licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). Meets monthly.

ACS CARES is a free mobile app from the American Cancer Society built for people facing cancer, their caregivers, and loved ones. It offers a unique mix of information, connections, and expert support when you need it most.

You can be matched through the app with a trained volunteer who shares similar experiences, giving you empathy and understanding that feels personal.

The Cleveland Clinic’s 4th Angel Mentoring Program is a free, national service that pairs you with a trained volunteer who has walked a similar path. By connecting you one-on-one with someone close in age and experience, the program offers not just empathy, but also practical guidance, coping strategies, and hope.

SHARE is a national nonprofit that provides free support, information, and resources for people affected by cancer. Its programs are led by survivors and healthcare professionals.

If you’re under 40 and living with an early-stage breast cancer diagnosis (stage 0–III), SHARE offers a virtual space just for you. Meeting on the fourth Wednesday of every month via Zoom, this group is facilitated by young breast cancer survivors and health professionals who know firsthand the challenges adolescents and young adults (AYAs) face.

Sometimes you just need to talk to someone who’s been where you are now. The Breast Cancer Helpline connects you with a trained volunteer who has also faced breast cancer and can offer emotional support, guidance, and hope. Along with listening and sharing, your volunteer can point you toward helpful resources—like peer groups, wig programs, or healthy living services—so you feel supported in more ways than one.

From art and journaling to yoga, workshops, and survivorship events, every program is crafted to ease anxiety, lift isolation, and remind you that you are not alone.

CancerCare is a national nonprofit which provides free professional support services to anyone affected by cancer.

This 15-week online group is for people in treatment for breast cancer. Led by an oncology social worker and taking place on a password-protected message board, you get the flexibility of participating on your own schedule. You’ll find a welcoming space to share experiences, learn coping strategies, and discover helpful resources while building connections with others who are in treatment.

Firefly Sisterhood is a nonprofit dedicated to creating meaningful connections for people impacted by breast cancer.

Firefly pairs you with a Peer Mentor Guide—someone who shares a similar breast cancer and life experience—so you can receive one-to-one support that truly resonates. The matching process is highly personalized. It begins with a short Get Support Form, followed by a phone call with a match specialist who carefully considers your needs, background, and preferences. From there, you’re connected with a mentor who “gets you” and can walk alongside you with understanding and encouragement.

Whether you’re living with a diagnosis or supporting a loved one, you’ll find resources that meet you where you are—helping you build resilience, reduce stress, and feel less alone.

Young women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s facing breast cancer can find connection and support in this Ohio-based group. Meeting the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30–8:00pm, participants may join in person at The Gathering Place West or online. With guidance from a dedicated social worker, the group offers a safe space to share experiences, gain understanding, and feel empowered through community.

Whether newly diagnosed, in treatment, or living life after, it can make a world of difference to talk with someone who’s already been there. Imerman Angels connects you with a Mentor Angel: a trained peer who shares your age, gender, cancer type, and lived experience.

The Cancer Support Community (CSC) is a global nonprofit offering free programs to anyone affected by cancer—patients, survivors, caregivers, friends, and families.

CSC’s MyLifeLine® is a free online platform designed to reduce stress, anxiety, and isolation. Here, patients, survivors, friends, and caregivers can: Build a personal support network, join discussion boards with others facing similar challenges and access resources that can help you cope and feel more in control of your experience.

In the Peer Navigation Program you’ll be matched with a trained volunteer who understands the decisions you’re facing, whether that’s around a genetic mutation, type of cancer, surgery options, fertility concerns, age, geography, or more. Support is offered by phone or email, giving you a chance to talk directly with someone who has walked a similar path.

Sharsheret is a national nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of Jewish women and families living with breast or ovarian cancer—or facing an increased genetic risk. Through community, connection, and trusted resources, Sharsheret provides meaningful support at every step.

These social gatherings—online or in person—let you meet peers who understand your world. They aren’t traditional support groups, but welcoming spaces where laughter, candid conversations, and lasting connections happen.

Survivingbreastcancer.org (SBC) leverages technology and breaks down barriers to access and information, putting the patient first, educating, encouraging and inspiring advocacy.  Community members are encouraged to participate in the various free programming, events and services.

If you’re looking for a “come as you are,” agenda-free meetup, Thursday Night Thrivers may be the place for you.  They meet weekly in a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free virtual space where you can show up as your full self, however you’re feeling that day. Join sessions for all stages of breast cancer, from metastatic to early-stage to IBC. Spanish-language groups are also in the line-up.

Wildfire Community is a storytelling and writing-centered support platform for people—especially younger individuals—living with and beyond a breast cancer diagnosis. Through its magazine, workshops, and creative programs, it provides a space to share personal experiences, build connection, and process survivorship in a meaningful way.
